Our tech Dan came to check our water heater. He was able to get the pilot back on and provide info on maintenance and when to look at replacement in the future. Dan was very cordial and respectful and I greatly appreciated his help. Jay’s also responded same day to our issue. Will be looking to use them again in the future.

I had a very good experience with Tim’s service. Price of service call and sump pump replacement were communicated before service call was scheduled. Bottom line issue was that I screwed up and forgot to do seasonal shift of moving from underground drain (which will freeze in winter and create blockage for sumppump) to above ground drain pipe which won’t freeze. So, underground pipe froze and blocked sump pump. Tim worked through options collaboratively and we agreed to cut outside pipe to determine where freeze points may be and replace sump pump as previous was ten years old. When work was done, things still weren’t working as expected implying that there was more ice blockage in pipe behind wall. We decided to trust nature to melt ice over time allowing things to work. A couple of days later, blockage naturally cleared and all working as expected. I’m glad to have new sump pump and new piping (where replaced) as well. And that I felt no pressure to commit to any proposal Tim offered. Thanks Tim!

My disposal was not working. It turns out all I had to do was press a reset button. It would be nice if when you called in with a disposal problem they suggested to try pressing reset. It cost $80. The technician was nice.

Jays plumbing saves the day again! We needed our sewer rodded and dirty water was backing up into our basement sink. I could hear the effort needed to get through the blockage but they didn’t give up — thank you Mike and Dan, you are amazing!!

A Trusted Neighbor that consistently handles plumbing issues flawlessly and at fair prices. Specifically, a water heater that decided to retire in the middle of showers. Handled at normal service rates, eith what felt like an emergency response time-frame. That was clearly communicated by the whole Team Jay's as we went thru my soapy scenario. Our technician, Master Plumber Mike W. was a pro in every regard, handling the job in outstanding order- an extra 5 stars for having a total pro on time, with everything needed, a honest quote and to spec or better work, leaving a properly cleaned up workplace.

Update: Jay's response to this claims the phones were down and they are contacting me which is a lie. No one has reached out to me or stopped by the house they trashed. They are just saying this to try to look better to make it look like they care...they do not. And if the phones were not working then how was I able to speak to someone each time I called and each time I was told Ashley was in a meeting and would send you a message. Was the internet or cellular service down too? We called Jay's Plumbing for a clogged drain next to a toilet. The adjacent tubs had sewage water mixed with drain cleaner backed up. The shower had 3" of standing sewage water. George, who arrived in a 24/7 Plumbing truck, which by the way shares the same license as Jay's, formally located off Ogden Avenue in Downers Grove, said he would have to pull the toilet to get a camera in the line. George was informed there was a significant amount of drain cleaner in the drains and tubs in our attempts to fix the problem. At no time did George caution us on any potential problems as a result of pulling the toilet. 10 minutes later, he pulls the toilet and does not siphon the sewage water out of the adjacent backed up toilet and tubs and floods our bathroom and downstairs. I immediately called Jay's and asked for a supervisor to go to the house. I was told, "everyone is in a meeting." We spoke to a "supervisor" later on George's phone who said no one was available to come out and someone would call us. George reset the toilet and left saying, "I'll let my office deal with this." He had to use our own bath towels to clean up his mess but left when our ceiling was still leaking and we were left to clean it up ourselves. Our property sustained significant damage. We lost personal property damaged from the sewer water mixed with drain cleaner and have a damaged ceiling. We have called eight times asking for Ashley (Ellis), the "supervisor" to call us back and have repeatedly asked for the insurance information. All of our calls have been ignored. This occurred over two weeks ago and we have still received nothing from Jay's and/or 24/7 Plumbing. After this incident, we spoke to someone else who used Jay's and learned the same pattern of company response to a problem.
